This is Workstation 9. Where I have spent most of time in Singapore.
Nice and Messy:)

Get it while you can...Janis Joplin
Don't you just love that song.
Here's a a little update on the things I learnt in the last few days.
Sunshine has got pretty bad bad reviews.
Conan O'brien is from Harvard and dated Lisa Kudrow.
Singapore's Government owned match making company SDU closed to let free market forces take over. This is the ultimate test of market efficiency. Lets see if the number of singles go down.
The 27 club has more than 3 members.
International trade models are getting really really complicated.
BJP won the MCD(?) elections in Delhi.
NDTV predicts Mayawati will win the UP elections.
The rupee appreciated by 9%
The UK daily spot rate against the dollar has a loooooooooooooooong memory. But the monthly one does not.
Two 15 year old Indian boys drowned in the sea on the east coast of Singapore.
The Straits times headlines get more and more ridiculous each passing sunday. TOI is no comparison. This Sunday it said "1 man, 10 wives, 36 children, 3 HTB flats...Find out how they live!!"
Good Friday is not a day to rejoice.
Between Good Friday and Easter, the jews celebrate the 'passing over'
Polygamy is practiced in the Old Testament. Shwetha's says..there weren't many women around.
I could go on..Happy belated easter everyone.
Just 5 days to freedom....from this term!

You know, I just understood the title of your blog. I'm at home and using another comp to access the net, so I had to type it out manually. Then I realised!

Have you read the book The Namesake?

What is this 27 club? Is it like the Mile-High Club?

oh it's a club with all the famous people who died at the age of 27. there's a big list. curt cobain, hendrix, j joplin and someothers.
No I haven't read the book. I don't intend too..don't like to read such book. Prefer watching the movie. books have to atleast moderately funny, knoweledgeable or scandalous/controversial for me to read it. the inscrutable americans is hilarious though
title of my bog..Workstation 9 ? it where I work..let me put up a pic..

You blog is such a good read because it is often so good at articulating a perspective so outside my own and yet so accessible through your writing. Thank you for sharing.

Ah yes, Gopal and his cans of Coke, and Randy the American...

That's a completely dumb idea for a club :)

Do you know David?

And fool I got the Workstation 9 thing... although your blog title makes it sound like you're some space explorer reporting from a Kuiper belt asteroid! I meant the 'zxcvbnm' bit. Only just realised there is order in the disorder!

So where are you going in 5 days?

haha! I am glad you discovered the 'order in the disorder' ..almost makes it seem like I gave it some thought!! how's studying going..I do not know David..and I don't know what outside perspective I'm offering. But I am glad I am!

hey. its not just jews who celebrate Passover.. we do it too. but its on the day before Good Friday, i.e. Maundy Thursday.. We make a special kind of unleavened bread and a drink which is something like jaggery milk.. its quite nice actually! :) and we eat it at night after special prayers

The oldest person in the family distributes the bread to each family member in descending order of age..

and everybody enjoys it because you are allowed make this stuff only once a year and so u know you are not going to get it for another whole year! :)

Maundy Thursday is an adaptation of the passover feast? Sheesh...

Haha..Did yoy watch Godfather Again Anjana. During exams, everytime I'd stop by anjie's house, she'd be watching a movie..and with a high probability it would be the Godfather.
I bought the DVD's of Roman Holiday and Gone with the wind..if I watch RH one more time..I'll really start speaking like her..Charmed all of you visited my blog. Thank you!

Why suddenly? Not shutting it down, are you? Will you still be at workstation 9 next term?

Yes yes!! I was trying to say it as Audrey Hepburn did in the movie..No no..this workstion WILL celebrate its first bdday atleast!

no didnt see godfather again.. but have been watching tons of movies thanks to this guy in my office who has a brilliant DVD collection!! btw i saw roman holiday (again!) last week :)
